MARCY — The case of a former secretary Midstate Correctional Facility who had a sexual relationship with two inmates was adjourned in Marcy Town Court Thursday. Amy Gerling, 32, of Utica, was charged Oct. 13, 2009, with misdemeanor second-degree promoting prison contraband after she gave one of the inmates a personal item, Investigator Allen Svitak Jr. previously said. Gerling, a civilian state Division of Parole employee, had an unauthorized relationship with two inmates at the medium-security prison, Svitak said. Read More. |
