| NC Man Arrested for Double Murder |

GOLDSBORO (WTVD) -- Police say they've charged a man with a double slaying at a hotel in December. Suryakant Patel, 65, and his wife, 61-year-old Bhavanaben Patel, were found dead at the Best Value Inn on U.S. Highway 70 Bypass East December 14. They had worked there since 2007 and also lived at the hotel. Now, 28-year-old James Howard faces murder charges in their deaths. He was arrested in January on outstanding warrants and has been in custody ever since. In addition to the murder charges, Howard is also charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of possession of a firearm by felon. Read More. |
