Two Alachua County residents were arrested on drug charges after a drug task force found what appeared to be a clandestine methamphetamine lab at their home on Wednesday. Melissa Sue Bailey, 30, and Seth Paul Roxby, 26, both of 14215 N.W. 218th Ave., were each charged with unlawful possession of listed chemicals. Bailey and Roxby were arrested by a task force made up of Gainesville Police and Alachua County Sheriff's Office. In the arrest reports, Police Officer Ricardo Vega said task force members went to the home where Bailey and Roxby had been living and found an unknown liquid boiling on an outdoor hot plate. "Upon closer inspection, additional ingredients consistent with that of a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory were observed," Vega wrote. The items included pseudoephedrine tablets, Coleman camp fuel, lye, muriatic acid, anhydrous ammonia, and other ingredients and paraphernalia needed to manufacture methamphetamine. Bailey and Roxby were booked into the Alachua County jail. Read More. |
