New Non-Profit Promotes the Work of Hispanics in Criminal Justice |

A new, non-profit organization of Hispanic criminal justice professionals is seeking to encourage the sharing of ideas, elevate the standards of practice and promote equality for minorities in the industry. The National Organization of Hispanics in Criminal Justice began with five members in 2003, and now have over 100 signed up, according to Raul S. Banasco, vice president of the executive board. Membership is open to any criminal justice professional or citizen in support of the NOHCJ's goals. Individual membership is $15. Jeanna Gomez is the current president of the board. The NOHCJ office is located in Fairacres, N.M. |
