| Sex Offenders Transfered to Woodbridge |

WOODBRIDGE – Up to 162 civilly committed sex offenders that are currently housed at a temporary facility in South Kearny will be moved to Woodbridge, the state Department of Corrections announced last week. The sex offenders will be housed in the “standalone, secure unit” at East Jersey State Prison in Avenel and will live apart from the prison’s inmates, officials said. The move, which is expected to be complete by mid-May, will save the state an anticipated $2.3 million in lease money. Read More. |
