| Man Faces 40 Years for Child Pornography |

LAUREL,MS (WDAM) - A Laurel man has been arrested on child pornography charges and could face up to 40 years if convicted. Michael Gage, 50, has been arrested and charged with one count of possession of child porn. Laurel Police said the arrest was made possible by utilizing a combination of new technologies to help track down suspected child predators. Laurel Police Chief Walter Martin said, "The Laurel Police Department takes the crime of child pornography very serious. This crime violates the victim every time the image of that child is viewed. The Laurel Police Department is working hard to combat this crime. The new technology the Laurel Police Department has revealed to us numerous people downloading child porn.
