A 32-year-old man arrested in Sandusky after a nationwide Amber Alert is awaiting extradition to Tennessee. Police said Jason James Kenny abducted his 15-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter from Unicoi County, Tennessee, on Wednesday. He is charged with custodial interference and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, both felonies. He was arrested about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday when police stopped a car on Dawson Street. Sanilac County Sheriff Garry Biniecki said the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation contacted central dispatch and said Kenny could be in the area. Biniecki said officers started watching roads between Sandusky and Bay City. Kenny's last known address was in Bay City, and he has two female relatives living in Sandusky. When police identified a car one of the women was driving on M-46 in Elmer Township, officers intercepted it in Sandusky. Kenny was found lying in the back seat, Biniecki said. Read More. |
