| Inmate Released, Wanted on Murder Charges |

Wake County, N.C. - Authorities say an inmate who was released from the Bertie County jail last week, should not have been set free. The state Department of Correction says inmate, William Bryant Jr. was released from Bertie County Correctional Institution after he completed a sentence for cocaine charges. However, Bryant is wanted for 1st Degree Murder and Firearm charges in Wake County. The Wake County Sheriff’s Office says Bryant should have been released to their custody. Read More. |
