Progress of Sex Offender Bill

MADISON (WKOW) - A bill that would nullify over 100 sex offender laws across the state passes an Assembly committee.

By a vote of 8-2, the Committee on Corrections and the Courts passed the law which lets the Department of Corrections set residency rules for registered sex offenders.

Reps. Ted Zigmunt, (D) Francis Creek, and Karl Van Roy, (R) Green Bay, voted against the bill.
