KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- State prison inspectors have finished a review of the Osceola County Jail where two inmates have escaped from. County spokeswoman Bethzaida Garcia says the findings and recommendations by the state Department of Corrections are not expected for at least two weeks. The review was completed Thursday. The escapes prompted a widespread discipline at the jail. The corrections chief resigned and the Osceola County Manager was fired. Sixteen jail officers were also fired. Read More. |
