| Man Arraigned For Beating Pregnant Woman |

DECATUR - A 22-year-old man was charged with aggravated battery on a pregnant woman, after he allegedly punched a pregnant woman in the head and spat on her. Derrius L. Gaddy appeared at a preliminary hearing Wednesday before Associate Judge James Coryell in Macon County Circuit Court. Decatur police officer Joe Kish testified that he interviewed the victim in the emergency room of Decatur Memorial Hospital about 11 a.m. Dec. 11. The victim told Kish that after she told Gaddy and his girlfriend that she was not going to give them rides in her car anymore, they attacked her.
