| Jamaica, VT Sets Sex Offender Registry |

JAMAICA -- The members of the Vermont State Police Advisory Board in Windham County will present a public forum on April 13 discussing the Vermont Sex Offender Registry. In an effort to educate people about what they can do to prevent sexual crimes from occurring in their communities, authorities from different backgrounds will share information about their areas of expertise. Sheri Englert, registrar for the state sex offender registry of the Public Safety Headquarters in Waterbury, will give an overview of the sex offender registry. Phillip Damone with the Department of Corrections in Brattleboro will talk about Corrections protocols and procedures related to supervising sex offenders. Lt. Kraig LaPorte, commander of the State Police barracks in Brattleboro, will present a segment on sex crime prevention.
