AUBURN, Maine (AP) -- The man who hanged himself at the Maine jail in Auburn has been identified as 53-year-old George Magee of Lewiston. The Sun Journal newspaper of Lewiston says Magee was being held at the Androscoggin County jail for a probation violation. Meanwhile, investigators from the Maine Department of Corrections were at the jail Monday trying to determine the circumstances surrounding Magee's death. Read More. |
