SIOUX CITY -- A prisoner serving a 10-year sentence for intimidation with a dangerous weapon has escaped from a Sioux City work release facility, John R. Baldwin, director of the Iowa Department of Corrections, said. Jordan Thomas, 22, was placed on escape status after failing to return to the facility from a furlough, according to a news release. He was transferred to work release on Feb. 3, 2010, after his sentence began on Aug. 8, 2007. Read More. |
