| Fraud Case Arises At NY Jail |

Two state agencies are alleging that there has been some sort of fraud going on within one of Oneida County’s state correctional facilities for the past 17 years. But what sort of fraud and which of the county’s four prisons is involved won’t be known until later this morning when the state Comptroller’s Office and Inspector General will hold a joint press conference in Albany. State Sen. Joseph Griffo, R-Rome, said he had been unaware of the planned press conference until Monday afternoon and was in the dark about the allegations. “We just got a general call from the Comptroller’s Office and I am anxious to find out the specifics,” he said.
