| Infamous Murderer Dies in Jail Attack |

Notorious underworld identity Carl Williams is dead after an attack by two inmates wielding an ''implement'' in the exercise yard at Barwon Prison's maximum-security Acacia unit. Williams, 39, died after he was attacked at the prison about 12.50pm, Deputy Commissioner Sir Ken Jones told a media conference this afternoon. Williams suffered severe head injuries then went into cardiac arrest. Prison medical staff tried to revive him until ambulance officers arrived, however he died at the scene. An autopsy will be conducted to see if Williams died as a direct result of the attack or due to a heart attack. Read More. |
