Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick violated the terms of his probation, according to Wayne County Circuit Court Judge David Groner. But he avoided jail time. For at least 35 days. However, signs point to likely incarceration for Kilpatrick, who previously served 99 days following his 2008 perjury conviction. While Groner delayed sentencing until May 25 to allow completion of a presentencing report, he dropped a couple of hints that the sentence will include time behind bars. Read More. |
