OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The state Board of Education is set to vote on a proposal to revoke the teaching certificate of a former Norman North High School teacher and basketball coach convicted last year of a sex crime. The board will consider during a meeting Thursday an agenda item concerning Vicky Lynn Lewallen's teaching license. In March 2009, a Cleveland County judge sentenced Lewallen to two years in prison for a sex crime involving a 16-year-old female student. According to state Department of Corrections online records, the 46-year-old Lewallen is being held at a prison in Taft. Read More. |
