The head of probation and parole for the state of New Mexico, Charlene Knipfing, gets slapped with a five-day suspension for inappropriate use of state vehicles. Knipfing received the suspension for an out-of-town birthday party attended by her staff. Jim Scarantino, who runs the newmexico.watchdog.org website, said he got a tip that office workers were headed from Santa Fe to an Espanola restaurant to celebrate Knipfing's birthday.
