SANTA FE, N.M. -- According to a whistleblower, millions of tax dollars were wasted on fancy remodeling inside the state's Department of Corrections. Purchase orders show an expensive gym floor, a bathroom remodel and an audiovisual system with a flat screen TV were requested by the New Mexico Department of Corrections Central Office in Santa Fe, where administrators work.
