| Woman Served 2 Years for Traffic Death |

An area veterinarian, who was jailed in the traffic death of a 15-year-old, has been released after serving nearly two years in prison. Rachel Easterly, 45, was released Friday from a state prison and will be on probation until April 29, 2013, according to records with the state Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services. Easterly pleaded guilty in May 2008 to striking and killing 15-year-old Tommy Sullivan Jr. with her vehicle on Feb. 23, 2007, then fleeing the scene and trying to cover up the crime.
