A man with a history of sexually assaulting both adult and child victims is being released from prison today and returned to Wausau. Michael R. Brown, 34, of Wausau was sentenced Oct. 20, 2008, to two years in prison on a felony charge of third-degree sexual assault. His mandatory release date is today, when he will begin serving three years of extended supervision. A woman told authorities that Brown touched her sexually May 10, 2008, without her consent, according to a Department of Corrections news release. Brown, who was on probation on burglary and theft charges at the time, was taken into custody, the release said. Read More. |
