| Community Mourns Death Of Officer |

RICHFIELD — They wore uniforms from the Sevier County Sheriff's Office, Utah Highway Patrol, Department of Corrections and U.S. Marines. They wore cowboy hats and T-shirts with pictures of classic cars. They wore suits and dresses and their Sunday best. A community and county came together Tuesday night at a viewing at the Sevier County Events Center to say goodbye to one of their fallen heroes, Sevier County Sheriff's Sgt. Franco Aguilar, a decorated deputy killed in the line of duty while assisting a motorist who had crashed. "Everybody loved Franco. He was the man," said friend Sheryl Betts Certoma. Aguilar was on the icy Fish Creek Bridge on Interstate 70, about 11 miles east of I-15, on April 29 when police say another vehicle going above the speed limit slid out of control into the first vehicle, knocking Aguilar off the bridge.
