ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Freddy Abeyta has been in and out of jail on a regular basis. Authorities said he has been arrested more than 100 times in his life. Abeyta's family members said that when he drinks he loses control. Last week, police arrested Abeyta outside of Sadie's after a manager reported that he was drunk and threatened to cut an employee with a broken glass. Deputy Lawrence Koren said when Abeyta hit the streets, his destruction, his court costs and his medical bills end up taken money out of taxpayers pockets. Read More. |
