| Suicide Attempt Leads To Death For Inmate |

STANFORD — A Lincoln County Regional Jail inmate who attempted suicide in his cell died Thursday at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. Charles “Lil Chuckie” Durham, 28, of Stanford attempted to hang himself May 2. When Durham was discovered, he was transported to Fort Logan Hospital and then to the University of Kentucky. Durham died at the University of Kentucky hospital Thursday. Lincoln County Jailer David Gooch had no comment, citing Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act privacy provisions.
