DECATUR - Two men have been arrested and charged with home invasion, after they and three other men allegedly broke into a home and battered a man with a glass vase. At about 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, Rajiv D. Rice, 18, and Cortevis J. Taylor, 22, were among five men who kicked down the front door of a residence in the 1200 block of North College Street, according to a sworn statement by a Decatur police officer. They are both being held in the Macon County Jail. Witnesses said Taylor helped break down the door to the home. One of the intruders attacked an occupant of the home with a glass vase. Rice, Taylor and other men also allegedly battered that victim, who suffered a broken bone near his left eye. Read More. |
