The last time police knew the whereabouts of Kelly D. Levens was in April 2006, when the convicted sex offender tried to cross into Canada disguised as a priest. Levens, formerly of Elgin, Sleepy Hollow and Galena, was convicted in 2003 on two counts of aggravated sexual assault for having sex with and sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in Elgin. Today he is No. 1 on the Kane County Sheriff's Department Most Wanted List. These six convicted sex offenders have ignored the state's requirement that they keep local law enforcement agencies informed of their whereabouts for the sake of the public's safety.
