LaPrecious Nicole Austin, one of three people convicted in the 2008 robbery and murder of Virginia Commonwealth University student Tyler J. Binsted, is in more legal trouble. Austin has been indicted on two counts of malicious wounding for allegedly attacking a pair of fellow inmates at the Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women. Austin is accused of taking several gym locker-style padlocks, putting them into a sock and using it as a swinging weapon to beat two inmates in the head. No trial date has been set in Fluvanna County Circuit Court for the felony charges, which each carry a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison. Read More. |
