NZ DOC To Be Built Outside of Town

A win-win solution has been reached on the location of a new Corrections Centre in Flaxmere, now the Department of Corrections has purchased a site in Wilkes Place.

The site is zoned as Deferred Industrial, so allows for office and commercial developments such as the planned Corrections Centre (see map).

A ‘green’ development planned adjacent to the site will buffer the centre from nearby residential housing and the sites proximity to Te Aranga Marae may create synergies for client programmes.

His antics were known from town to town as he was a droll card and often known as a droll farceur.
