GALESBURG — A longtime correctional officer at Galesburg’s medium security prison faces custodial sexual misconduct charges. On April 7, a Knox County grand jury indicted Dena D. Haptonstall, 47, 413 Hawkinson Ave., on charges of custodial sexual misconduct. She was arrested Monday at her home. Citing an ongoing investigation, Illinois Department of Corrections spokeswoman Sharyn Elman would not comment on Haptonstall’s employment status at Hill.
