Former Lynchburg jail escapee Larry Wayne Dodson Jr. may soon add petit larceny of a hot dog to a long list of crimes for which he will have to answer, including felony escape charges in Lynchburg and a series of felonies in Georgia related to his capture that netted him an additional seven years in prison. Dodson was indicted in April in Amherst County Circuit Court on a felony count of statutory burglary for breaking into a Madison Heights home March 10, 2009, within hours after his escape from the Lynchburg Adult Detention Center. His trial on that charge and on a related misdemeanor count of petit larceny was set Thursday for July 14. Read More. |
