Twenty-two people have been banned from visiting Ngawha Prison and three arrested after allegedly being caught taking contraband into the jail in the past three months - including a woman who hid drugs on her baby. The Department of Corrections said almost 3000 visitors to Northland Region Corrections Facility - commonly known as Ngawha Prison, about 7km north east of Kaikohe - have had themselves and their vehicles searched by teams of staff and drug dog Roxy over the past three months.
