A program new to Santa Barbara County will help parolees deemed at risk of being sent back to prison adjust to life free from confinement. One requirement, though, is visits to a Santa Maria neighborhood center. Beginning July 1, a day reporting center for paroled prison inmates is scheduled to open in both Santa Maria and Santa Barbara. An organization called Community Solutions Inc. will run the system in conjunction with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department, according to developers. Read More. |
