| Inmate Questioned in Inmate's Killing |

A Department of Corrections inmate serving life in prison for murder is being questioned by police investigators for the killing around 11 last night of another inmate who also was serving time for murder, authorities confirmed this morning. DOC Director J.B. Palacios said he can't say what the victim's injuries were - pending further police investigation. The director said at no time was the safety of other inmates and the public at risk during the fatal attack. The victim, who was serving life in prison with a possibility of parole, and the suspect, who was sentenced to life in prison without parole, were housed in a minimum security facility along with 43 other inmates.
