| Felon Attacks Deputy With Car |

A felon tried to hit an Orange County deputy with his car Wednesday as he left his community service job. Orange County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Shameek Anderson, 28, on charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer with violence, driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana and introducing contraband into a county facility. He is being held on a $6,450 bond at the Orange County Jail. Reports show deputies went looking for Anderson at the Orange County Water Treatment Facility on McCormick Road, where he is serving community hours, after his girlfriend reported him for domestic battery on Tuesday.
