A man wanted by the Georgia Department of Corrections was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Brantley County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday. Timothy Michael Childs, 33, was wanted by the Georgia Department of Corrections for Escape. The warrant was issued on May 11 in Savannah. Childs was convicted in Toombs County, Georgia for armed robbery in March of 2001. Childs was sentenced to fifteen years in prison. After serving approximately nine years of the sentence, Childs was released to the Coastal Transitional Center to make his transition from prison back into society. Read More. |
