St. Louis Prisons Have Water Issues

A few months ago, a local TV report focused on St. Louis city's water problem.

Although no city, state or federal official has ever said that the water is unsafe to drink at the present time, inmates in St. Louis prisons somehow came to believe that since the city did close down one of its wells, that the water was posing some sort of a danger.

St. Louis is in fact, now undergoing a study to join Alma's water system. Officials at the Department of Natural Resources and Environment recommended that the city find a new water source. Officials believe that it's only a matter of time before toxic chemicals begin to work its way down to the water wells.

At the present time, however, the water is safe to drink.
