| FL DOC Launches Man Hunt |

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - St. Cloud High School was briefly locked down Thursday afternoon as authorities searched for a prisoner who escaped from custody of Florida Department of Corrections . That pisoner is still on the lam. Just after 1 p.m., Michael Shane France, 21, escaped while he was on work detail near the 1900 block of Massachusetts Avenue in St. Cloud. The inmate is housed at the Central Florida Reception Center, a facility located about 10 miles from Orlando International Airport, which serves as a close custody, all adult male, program-oriented institution. France was working in a rural area, clearing out a ditch, when he disappeared. Department of Corrections notified the St. Cloud Police Department that France asked to use the bathroom and did not return. Officers are using bloodhounds to try to track France. Read More. |
