A Burlington County (N.J.) Detention Center inmate was in critical condition yesterday with a head injury apparently received during a fight with another prisoner Tuesday. Scott Hatchett, 44, of East Orange, N.J., was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden after officers found him in the exercise area after 3 p.m. The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office and the jail's internal affairs unit were investigating. Hatchett has been at the jail since March 16 on charges that he failed to appear in municipal court and pay fines in Cinnaminson, Delran and Moorestown. |
