Sgt. Theresa Tipton has been selected as the Oklahoma Department of Corrections 2009 Agency's Correctional Officer of the Year. Tipton began her career at the Dr. Eddie Warrior Correctional Center on March 3, 1994 as a correctional officer. She was promoted to the position of sergeant on Nov. 1, 1996. Tipton also serves as a member of the agency's Hostage Negotiation Team and is the Spanish interpreter for Dr. Eddie Warrior and the Jess Dunn correctional centers. Read More. |
