JOLIET -- Melissa Fox had a brief smile looking at the rows of family and friends gathered in the courtroom to show support. It appeared to be the only time she did smile Thursday morning. Fox was there to see for the first time Scott Wayne Eby, the man authorities say raped and murdered her 3-year-old daughter, Riley. On June 6, 2004, Riley was reported missing from her Wilmington home. Her drowned body was found later that day in nearby Forked Creek. Read More. |
