| Guard Accused Of Sex Acts With Child |

Jun 04, 2010 (Pioneer Press - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- A guard at a state prison has a court hearing this month, accused of sexually abusing a male relative more than a decade ago. Ricky Wayne Russell, 48, of Maple Grove was named in the criminal complaint by the Hennepin County attorney's office last month. A judge Tuesday set his bail at $60,000 and scheduled his next court appearance for June 22. He remains in the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center. Russell is a corrections officer at the Minnesota Correctional Facility-Oak Park Heights. He has been with the state's prison system more than 26 years and is on what is referred to as "no-pay status," said Shari Burt, a spokeswoman for the Minnesota Department of Corrections.
