| Inmate Moving Equipment Won't Happen In School |

MILFORD – School officials have canceled a plan to use jail inmates to move furniture at Jacques Memorial Elementary School while school is in session. Inmates may still be used, but not until after school is closed for the year. Superintendent of Schools Robert Suprenant said he believes there was no safety issue involved in the original plan to have eight inmates from the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections work at the Bales annex beginning June 14, two days before the final day of school. Suprenant said and he and Principal John Foss received three complaints from parents after he mailed letters in May notifying them of the plan. Read More. |
