DUPLIN COUNTY, N.C. – Authorities in Duplin County are investigating the cause of a gas leak at the Department of Corrections facility at Kenansville. The administrative offices and the dorm were evacuated for a short time Monday afternoon. Assistant Fire Marshal Ricky Deaver says they opened up underground vaults and manholes to search for the leak and to vent the gas but did not find the leak's source. Read More. |
