Three Jackson County (Ala.) Jail inmates face attempted murder charges in the stabbing of another prisoner last Thursday. Chief Investigator Chuck Phillips said Charles Ray Hastings, 38, of Skyline, Steven Ray Hall, 27, and Johnnie Joseph Boguszewicz, 45, both of Dutton, were charged in the stabbing. He said Joseph Emmanuel Vaughn, 29, of Fyffe, who had been stabbed several times, was taken to Huntsville Hospital. His condition was not immediately available. Phillips did not comment on the motive or weapon used. Hastings is in jail on a murder charge in the shooting death of a Skyline man in April 2003. Hall, a federal inmate, is awaiting sentencing on gun and drug charges, and Boguszewicz is in jail for violating probation. |
