Attorneys for convicted murder John Forrest Parker are asking the U.S. Supreme Court to halt his execution. And time is running out. Parker, 42, is scheduled to be executed at 6 p.m. today at Holman Prison in Atmore. Parker was convicted of capital murder June, 6, 1989, and sentenced to death for the March 1988 beating and stabbing death of Elizabeth Dorlene Sennett at her home on Coon Dog Cemetery Road south of Tuscumbia.
