FAIRBANKS — A Fairbanks couple will serve three months in jail for making and possessing a tape that shows a toddler engaged in sexually explicit behavior. Xavier Caldwell, 27, and his wife, Jadelin Caldwell, 25, pleaded guilty earlier this year to possession of child pornography, a felony. Per an agreement with prosecutors, more serious charges of sexual abuse of a minor and exploitation of a minor were dismissed. The Caldwells also will be on probation for three years and must register as sex offenders for 15 years. “What was described on (the tape) was despicable,” Superior Court Judge Michael McConahy said. “I think people in this courtroom would weep if they view it.” Read More. |
