GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado — A Glenwood Springs man accused of possessing and distributing child pornography agreed to a plea deal offered by prosecutors in Garfield County Court Thursday. Michael Bruce Shaw, 22, pleaded guilty to one count of sexual exploitation of a child — possessing 20 or more items depicting child pornography, a class four felony. As part of the plea deal, prosecutors agreed to drop the two remaining counts of sexual exploitation and distribution, both felonies. Shaw faces possible penalties of imprisonment, community corrections or probation. Probation and community corrections are options only because this is Shaw's first felony conviction. Read More. |
