| Man Pleads Guilty To Triple Homicide |

A Cheatham County man charged with killing three people in March pleaded guilty Monday to the murders and received three consecutive life sentences. Michael Joe Hood, 49, was indicted on three counts of first-degree murder last week and was arraigned Monday in Cheatham County Circuit Court. Assistant District Attorney Bob Wilson said Hood will be transferred to the Tennessee Department of Corrections in the next several days. “They family requested that he be given three consecutive life sentences instead of the death penalty, and we agreed to that,” Wilson said.
