Inmates in the Draper prison yard don't usually interact with visitors, but on Monday following news that there would be no commutation for Ronnie Lee Gardner they were shouting angrily at anyone who would listen. Prisons are a volatile environment on any given day, and adding the tension of a looming execution can be enough to make it combust. Officials say they are on alert for any behavioral problems leading up to Friday's execution.
